A neat trick for Quake 3 Arena
Here's how you play Quake 3 Arena mods w/ codes on Quake 3 Arena maps:
Okay. First load up your mod of choice (eg Urban Terror, Annihilation, Quake 3 Fortress etc). Next type in /devmap q3dmXX (xx= map name, eg: /devmap q3dm17 would be a spaceship map) into the console. enjoy ur mod. It is now on a Quake 3 map. type /giveall and /god to get all weapons and invincibility.
CONSOLE COMMAND TO RUN ANY QUAKE 3 ENGINE GAME FASTER
Type in "/com_hunkmegs [amt of memory you want to use]". Remove quotes from the command tho. Say, you have 1024 MB of RAM on your computer. By typing in /com_hunkmegs 800, you will be using 800MB or your 1024MB memory for processing during the game. RtCW has a default memory usage setting of 72MB in single-player, so you will see a big difference in framerates. I can guarantee you RtCW will run a lot faster with this command. However, never, never, never ever ever exceed or reach the amount of RAM you have when typing into the console.
